Most Ready Made - Off The Shelf - Blinds can be easily Resized / Cut / Trimmed to suit any windows given the range of available sizes across the spectrum.  Depending on the type, style and Manufacturer of blinds you purchase, you can comfortably rely on reducing the width of a Timber or Slimline Aluminium blind in 25mm; 27mm; 45mm; 50mm slat sizes by 100mm each end.

 

 

Roller Blinds / E-Screens can be made to fit any window from any size purchased - their is no mechanisms, cords, wands, strings getting in the way.

 

 

On PVC Blinds; Privacy; Eco Shutters; Eco- Wood and alike, in slat sizes 45mm; 50mm 63.5mm because of the nature of the head box construction due to the overal,l weight of the blind in question, you are limited to the amount that can be removed down sometimes only as little as 40mm each end instead of the traditional 100mm.The head box must maintain overall strength thereby restrictions are put in place.

 

 

There are some exceptions to the rule which prohibit any form of reduction, mainly a blind that has already been custom made to suit a window; Roman Blinds; Kimono Blinds are examples of a window treatments that cannot be cut down by any measure what so ever, be it new or second hand; they can only ever be face fixed, not a reveal fixed unit.
