Cutting Venetian Blinds be it Timber, Eco-Wood, Eco-shutter, PVC, Privacy Western Red Cedar must be done with the strictest tolerances and some finesse’.

Many, many people have tried to perform DIY blind cutting, and it goes without saying, having dismal results. I have in the past experienced and witnessed people cutting blinds with Jigsaws, Hacksaws, and Drop saws all resulting in some form of disaster.

It is fair to say some results are better than others, but when you spend a serious amount of money on Off the shelf blinds, you want to make sure you are not going to cost yourself money in the process of same.

Some times, you are not so fortunate and when using say a Hacksaw, end up with really jagged edges and just look's unsightly, as they do not match up with the window recess, neatly.

Other issues with Blinds, is the correct installation of brackets, where they should be fitted and why. Some blinds like the Eco-blind have up to six brackets while a Basswood blind only has two. There are reasons for and against having so many brackets installed, they all have purpose, and any good installer must be fully aware of these pitfalls – the home handyman generally does not.

Having the right tools to do the job is far safer, a better finish, and most satisfying when the job is done correctly. Personal satisfaction is most warranted in any blind installation process.

As an example here, we are able to begin on site, at your home, at 8am. Lets assume you have 20 blinds to do; We Install all brackets, cut all blinds, cut and install the pelmet / fascias, correct drops (height of blind) affix wall clips if any supplied in fitting kit, and clean up all done by 3pm the very same day. That’s right, and your whole house is completely outfitted with the blinds you just bought yesterday.
